The Unwritten Rules of the Road will be a combination blog and video series with live streams and interviews with people who are on the ground level in the touring world: musicians, promoters, set builders, venue owners, and more! Our mission is to provide an educational resource to artists of all types who want to get into touring but may not know just how to do it... Or maybe you are already touring but just want to figure out a way to level up. With your host Tash Cox (who is a seasoned DIY tour booker and touring artist herself), we shall guide you.
We are thrilled to feature our first guest, the incredible Jon Siren. Jon is one of the founding members of Mankind is Obsolete as drummer and songwriter and a huge inspiration in how we’ve been approaching our touring and DIY ethos. Besides being one of the founders of MKIO, Jon has toured with many notable bands that include Front Line Assembly, Psyclon Nine, and IAMX, to name a few. Besides being a talented and successful musician with a wide range of experience, Jon is also the author of “The Touring Vegan,” which shares his experience and wisdom in how to navigate life on the road and stay healthy while doing it. We hope to see you there with any questions you might have and are excited to share insights and perspectives from Jon!
