Daniel Graves

Daniel Graves is the founder, songwriter, and producer behind Aesthetic Perfection, an electronic music project that has been shaping the industrial, EBM, and synthpop landscape since its beginnings in Los Angeles in 2000. Over more than two decades, Daniel has continuously evolved his sound, blending driving rhythms, emotional melodies, and dark atmospheres while remaining deeply connected to the energy of live performance.

After establishing the project in the United States, Daniel later relocated to Austria, where Aesthetic Perfection continued to grow into a truly international act. From early releases like Close to Human and A Violent Emotion to later albums such as All Beauty Destroyed and Into the Black, his work reflects a willingness to take creative risks and challenge expectations with each new chapter.

Aesthetic Perfection is known not only for its studio output, but for its intense and emotionally charged live shows. Touring has always been a central part of the project, with Daniel bringing his music to clubs, festivals, and stages around the world. He has often spoken about the realities of life on the road, including long drives, changing venues, and the discipline required to sustain a touring career over time.

In 2019, Daniel made a deliberate move toward independence by self-releasing Into the Black, choosing full creative control over traditional industry structures. Since then, he has continued to explore new ways of releasing music and connecting directly with fans, including ongoing digital releases and community-driven platforms.

Whether you are an electronic producer, a touring musician, or a fan of boundary-pushing music, this conversation will offer insight, experience, and real-world perspective.
