Power trio stage plot template

Drums, bass and guitar, with the drummer on a riser at the back and a drum fill beside the kit. This is the classic rock club lineup, and the input list fills up fast: the kit alone is most of the channels.

The bass amp here is marked as the house's, which is common on shared bills. Change it to yours if you bring your own.

What it asks of the venue

This plot needs 11 channels, which fits easily on a small club's 16-channel desk. It asks for 3 monitor mixes and 4 power drops (places that need an outlet).

From the house: riser, bass amp. Check they have it when you advance the show; if not, bring your own or ask what they can do.

Making it yours

  • Ask for the riser by size, not just "a riser". This template asks for 8 by 6 feet.
  • A drum fill is a wedge for the drummer. If yours plays to in-ears, change the drummer's monitor setting.
  • Mark which gear is the house's and which is yours. On a shared bill it saves an argument between sets.
