Solo artist stage plot template

One person, one guitar, one mic. A solo plot looks like it barely needs drawing, but it is the one most likely to arrive at a venue that has never heard of you, so it pays to send one anyway.

The engineer learns three things from it: you need a vocal mic and a DI for the guitar, you stand center, and you want one wedge in front of you.

What it asks of the venue

This plot needs 2 channels, which fits easily on a small club's 16-channel desk. It asks for 1 monitor mix, and no power on stage.

Everything on it is the band's own, so the venue only needs to provide the mics, DIs, stands, cables and monitors in the lists.

    Making it yours

    • Say if you sit or stand. A stool changes the mic stand and where the wedge points.
    • If your guitar has no pickup, change the DI row to a mic, so the venue brings a second stand.
    • Put what you want in the wedge in your monitor notes, such as "vocal and a little guitar".
